SierraPine produces particleboard at three plants located across the United States in a variety of species, each with their own unique characteristics - Douglas fir and western pine on the west coast and southern pine on the east coast.
Particleboard is a non-structural interior product made from wood particles that are byproducts from the manufacture of other wood products. The wood particles are mixed with synthetic resins or binders and formed under heat and pressure into a panel. The board consists of several layers: A core and two outside layers or faces. All of SierraPine’s particleboard products are SCS certified for their recycled fiber content and meet physical properties of ANSI A208.1-2009. Sustainable Design Particleboard (SDP)
Encore™ and Encore™ MR, sustainable design particleboard panels utilize an adhesive system containing no urea formaldehyde and are manufactured with recycled wood fiber. Encore meets the most stringent emission standards in the world and offers the highest physical properties in a urea formaldehyde free particleboard available on the market today. This product meets ANSI A208.1-2009 requirements, is EPP & SCS Certified and CHPS Approved.
